The Thief Lord

This book also by Funke is a thrilling adventure that makes you want to keep reading and reading. It’s about to boys who hate living with their cruel aunt and uncle. They run away and go to Venice, Italy. There they run into a group of orphans who are living in an abandoned movie theater. Their leader calls himself the Thief Lord and he earns them the money they need to live by stealing from amazing houses. All the while their aunt and uncle are looking for them so they must stay hidden. But what if the Thief Lord isn’t telling them everything?

This author in this book did a lot of allusion and exaggeration. She also made one character, the oldest, Prosper, use a lot of Juxtaposition.

First of all I agree with Em. This book is really exciting and makes want to keep reading and reading. Bo the younger brother of Prosper is willing to take Bo and run away to Veince Italy, because of what their mother had always told them stories about Veince. The reason they run away is because their mother died and her sister Esther is cruel and mean but also rich. Prosper doesn't care ,however, and they run away. They meet a bunch of orphans in Italy and the leader calls himself the Theif Lord, Will the Theif always provide for them? Is he really who he says he is? Their Aunt hires a dective to look for them they have really close calls, will they stay hidden from Victor the snoop?

This book is suspensful, exciting, and a book that mmakes you read and read. On top of that its 13 AR points. What's not to like?
